Valentine Party Gals were creative with their treats, and I returned home with tasty and cute cards. (The challenge was capturing photos before Hayden tried to eat every sugary surprise he could find.) While ALL the valentines I received were special and greatly appreciated, I must award kuddos for a few of my favorites.
The tastiest treat was Champagne's heart shaped sugar cookie with royal icing!
The most fun valentine was shared by Karen, who designed pop up die cuts (see the heart pop up card).
The most generous valentine was shared by Bonnie. She made beaded clothespins and treat bar wraps. I also enjoyed Bonnie's cookie sticks, heart stirrers, K & Co. heart confetti, Little Kitty candy tin, treat bag, gift cards, and cupcake liner with candy.
The cutest card was from Tara, and she used library card pockets, scalloped scissors, heart doilies, beaded hearts, ribbon, heart die cuts, and string tied candy.
The most thoughtful valentine was given by Jessi. Her interactive, accordion poem strip card also featured a heart tag, string, heart die cut accent, and crossed staples to create an "X."

Bonnie and Tara really know how to throw a GREAT PARTY! I enjoyed the guests, amazing food selection, relaxing beverages, die cut presentation, and gift exchange. I received a pink and red dotted fleece blanket and heart pillow, which Hayden immediately claimed when I returned home.

It was hard to leave my fun evening with girlfriends, but seeing my boys at home quickly warmed my heart. I fussed about Hayden being awake at 11PM, but secretly I looked forward to reading stories and snuggling with him. It was a Saturday night, so I cut him a little slack. LOL

Hayden's valentine theme was Lightning McQueen. Thanks to The Dollar Store, Hayden used blue ink and $1 Disney Card stamps to decorate the front coves and hearts. He also posed for our anual tuxedo photos, and I created cards. Hayden punched circles and scalloped circles for the card covers, and I designed, stamped, cut shapes, and adhered the items to the card. Hayden won the battle of desire (to eat the candy suckers and to adhere the Cars themed tattoos), and he drew pictures and the letter "H" inside each card. He is looking forward to a fun party at school tomorrow!

We couldn't forget to share valentines with Hayden's AWANA friends and teachers. I designed a simple card with Luv E. Lamb and a few heart die cuts, stamps, and circle text pieces.
We wish YOU and YOURS a very HAPPY HEARTS DAY!!!
